Project Focus – Office and Retail

Ledgestone Inc.,
Detroit Lakes, Minn.

Ledgestone Inc., a general contractor, built its headquarters building to be a showpiece for clients. Josh Lessman, owner at Ledgestone, says, “We wanted a show-piece for customers to come and see the possibilities of construction with Behlen pre-engineered metal buildings. We like to show customers that pre-engineered metal buildings don’t have to be just a box.”

The 9,011-square-foot building has two main sections: an office section, and shop with an 800-square-foot mezzanine. The mezzanine has a poured concrete deck.

Ledgestone constructed the shop and mezzanine portion with Behlen Building Systems’ metal building system. The company used bar joist and metal decking from Vulcraft Group, a subsidiary of Nucor Corp., as well.

On the roof, Ledgestone installed Behlen’s ZL-16 standing seam roof system in Galvalume. On the shop’s walls, Ledgestone installed Behlen’s ADP-2 metal wall panels in Charcoal.

Ledgestone built the office section with structural steel framing and wood infill. On the office walls, Ledgestone installed Behlen’s Architectural metal wall panels in Black and Metallic.

“The layout of the project provides easy and clean access between both areas,” Lessman says.
