Safety has always been a top priority for Behlen, and thanks to the impact of new and ongoing companywide initiatives and programs, Behlen Mfg. Co. has been honored with a major safety award.
Behlen has received a Nebraska's Safest Company 2026 award from the National Safety Council-Nebraska chapter's Celebration of Safety Luncheon on May 5, 2026. The awards are presented annually to organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting employees and to creating a culture of safety. Members of the Behlen Safety team were present to accept the award.
In the official award notification letter to Behlen, the NSC noted: “Your safety team, and your leadership are to be commended for this outstanding accomplishment.”
The Safest Company Award recipients are evaluated on submitted safety data, the strength of their safety programs, and a weighted average of performance over the past three years. Each company is compared to similar organizations, and the overall score combines performance metrics and program effectiveness.
