Job Description:
The Controls Engineer will design Industrial Capacitor Winding machine control systems. The candidate should have demonstrated ability using of Ladder Logic diagrams, PLC programming, specific controls equipment, de-bug, and trouble shoot the machine.
Responsibilities:
- Create PLC code and select electronic controls and modules to operate capacitor winding machines.
- Write HMI screens and custom programming.
- Mapping controls schematics and develop project wiring schematics.
- Trouble shoot controls and wiring.
- Develop innovative concepts for robotics, material conveyance, and electrical testing.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degreed Engineer in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
- Strong background in machine design and motion controls, preferably with experience in winding applications.
- Familiarity with the numerous brands of machine control systems.
- Ability to program a machine from start to end.
- Experience in taking a machine concept and developing the control sequence to include all required functions.
- Demonstrated ability to size motion control components based on the product to be produced at the speeds desired.
- Develop a machine design from concept to a working program that includes human machine interface screens.
- Communicates well with other employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Able to travel internationally.
